Some destinations you drive to.

The best ones, you arrive at by sea.

D Maris Bay sits on the Dataç Peninsula, where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean on Turkey’s south-west coast — a protected stretch of pine-covered cliffs, hidden coves and water that shelters loggerhead turtles and monk seals. It is one of the finest private beach destinations in the Mediterranean, and it is built to be approached from the water.

Five private beaches, each with its own character, and three infinity pools are threaded along a single promontory. For a charter guest, arriving by tender is not just the most beautiful way in — it is the way the place was designed to be experienced.

This guide walks each of the five beaches, what sets them apart, and how a Meso charter opens the bay to clients arriving by sea.

Where It Is

On the Datça Peninsula, a short sail from Symi.

D Maris Bay sits on the Bozburun Peninsula in south-west Türkiye, where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean — within easy reach of the Greek Dodecanese by sea, and one of the reasons the bay works so well as a base for a charter.

The Bay Beach

[ 01 ]

The Bay Beach, the family heart.

Pristine white sand at the centre of the bay. Swim, splash and snorkel in crystal-clear water above turtles and colourful fish, with the Kids Club keeping young Baydreamers happy all day.

Spacious and family-friendly, it is the sociable heart of the resort — open through the day, and an easy first landing for a charter arriving into the bay.

Silence Beach

Silence Beach, adults only.

Towering mountains on the horizon, a breeze through the pines, and no music. Reserved for guests over eighteen, Silence Beach is wholehearted calm — total peace as you recline on a floating daybed suspended above the sea.

This season Zuma brings its signature contemporary Japanese kitchen to the Silence Beach shoreline, so refined tables meet the stillness of the bay.

Manos Beach
Manos Beach — D Maris Bay
[ 03 ]

Manos Beach, the Greek table.

An elegant, intimate golden beach beside Manos, the resort’s traditional Greek taverna. Sun and sea first, then feast alfresco on the freshest seafood and fine Greek fare, steps from the water.

Marble-façade charm under yellow awnings, green-checked linen, and a cellar of Greek spirits — a table that earns its place on any itinerary.

La Guerite Beach

La Guérite Beach, the lively one.

A private stretch of palm-fringed sand with raffia loungers and white canopied daybeds, echoing its sister concepts in Cannes and St Barths. Bubbles between swims, tropical house through the air, and sunset DJ sets that carry the beach into the night.

Day to night, it is the bay’s social centre of gravity — and the natural close to a day spent moving between beaches by tender.

Maris Beach, the private cove.

The most exclusive slice of the bay. A private beach within the resort, Maris epitomises tranquility and exclusivity — pristine sand, crystal-clear water and a palm-dotted shoreline, with a beachside spa treatment room and private cabanas, one with its own sumptuous jacuzzi.

A coveted floating daybed, suspended above the sea, completes it. Reserved for suite guests, with reservation required for cabana usage — the kind of access a charter arriving by sea is perfectly placed to secure.
